Benedikt Sommerhoff

Benedikt Sommerhoff heads the DGQ field of quality and innovation. He observes, analyses and interprets paradigm shifts and trends in society and the economy as well as their requirements for and effects on quality and sustainability management. With experts from the DGQ network from practice and science, he works on the development, piloting and teaching of innovative concepts and methods. Since mid-2024, he has been editor of the trade magazine “QZ - Quality and Reliability” at Hanser Verlag. Sommerhoff studied mechanical engineering, including quality assurance, at RWTH Aachen. He began his professional practice as a quality engineer at an automotive supplier. He has worked in specialist and management positions at DGQ for 25 years. Meanwhile, Sommerhoff completed his doctorate on the “Transformation of the Quality Manager Professional Profile” at the University of Wuppertal.
